Searching online for a memory foam mattress, but there are so many choices. Who is being honest and who is being dishonest? There are many different memory foam choices on the market today! 2lb foam is not recommended for ideal sleeping situations. There are at least 5 online companies selling 3lb memory foam and calling it 5.3lb which is totally misleading and false advertising. The reason for this is because they work out of a small office below their homes and make themselves appear like a large corporation. There are also at least 3 online companies who have changed their website and phone numbers to avoid warranty issues and refunds. This is unacceptable.

Buyer Beware: There is a new company on the engines advertising super low prices starting at $195.00 on a so called memory foam mattress. The problem is the uncanny consumer would normally be fooled into thinking this was the greatest mattress on the market for the price. NOT SO FAST! Let us take a closer look: The Base Foam Should not be lower than the hospital grade LX foam used by Memoryfoamfurniture.com and Tempur-Pedic© rated as 2835 thats 2.8lb base foam with and ILD of 35 which is super high quality. The foam we inspected was only 1835 foam which is the cheapest non hospital grade foam on the market. Rated at 1.8 lb density and 35 ILD this is not recommended for ideal sleeping situations, not to mention the density of the foam on the so called memory foam was only 2.9 lb density which is the lowest grade foam on the market. We also found that it was convoluted finger foam with zones which any one can buy for under $29.95 at Walmart. This is certainly NOT “Next generation“ foam as advertised! Here are some things we found when we did our test on this mattress:

The Test Mattress we received came in a black box which was shipped by UPS. We also received the mattress with a horrible stenching odor and had no cover on it at all. The foam was already breaking down in our hands as we fought to make sure the jelly rolled mattress did not knock us over. We were also very shocked at the weight of the mattress which was like 40 lbs or so. More proof that the density of the mattress was super cheap. It was just 2 pieces of foam glued together. A good foam mattress should consist of at least 5 inches of LX foam base, made of hospital grade foam and a density of no lower than 4.8 lb. per cubic ft. www.memoryfoamfurniture.com does not recommend glue in a foam mattress because in some cases glue has given off a bad odor and has affected ashthma and allergy sufferers.
