Finding the best stocks requires having the best tools. Do not watch what other people are doing, if you do you will get in to late and out to late. You have to learn to make your own decisions quickly.

Buy at the bottom of a trend and sell at the top! I like to watch the downgraded stocks. Many times they are downgraded with no news and no new financials. When that happens they will take a hit the day of the downgrade and maybe the next day. Shortly afterwards you will see a good buy signal. I believe a lot of brokerage firms downgrade a stock for no real reason so they can get in at a lower rate.

1. Watch the trends, not the news. Major moves usually happen before the news hits.
2. Pick 10 stocks to watch. The most volatile stocks have the most movement if you can learn to pick the bottoms and tops.
3. Do not listen to Stock experts on the TV or any place else. By time they give a green signal the major plays have already bought the stock, the major movement has already been made.
4. After you pick your stocks paper trade those until you are consistently making money.

Here is a good place to find stocks that are on the move. Check out the ones with the most upside movement. Pick them and watch them for a temporary down trend, that will give you a opportunity to buy! http://www2.barchart.com/
