A golf theme party may not be the most obvious party to get your celebrations going or to mark a special event like a graduation or a birthday. However with the right crowd, preparations and venue this can be a real winner. There can be very simple reasons for having a party theme like a golf theme party and sometimes it is actually harder to figure out what to do. In the simple case that the birthday person, graduate or retiree is very passionate about golf then a golf party is a fitting tribute to the guest of honor. Other reasons can include the fact that a must use venue is available which includes golfing activities. Perhaps also you are creating a graduation party where you know the guests like golf amongst other things and you also know that the other party themes that you would have liked to use are taken. There can be lots of other reasons for considering a golf theme party and perhaps the best way is to think through what it may be like, how to prepare very well for it and also how it would work for your guests.
Your venue may dictate the choice too. The fact that a great golf club or driving range is available and they have a great area for holding the party would help you choose. Also they will have a lot of golfing decorations and that will help set the overall mood as well as helping to provide golf games that the guests can play. Of course you may be using your home in which case the venue can simply be turned into a golfing paradise.
If you are using your home then the whole venue can be decorated for golf without too much trouble. The front of your home can have a golf theme name with banner saying, for example, Graduate Clubhouse and Welcome to Graduate Country Club. Your front lawn can be converted into a putting green which can be used as part of the games. Inside you can have as many golf posters, pictures and posters as you can get. That can have famous golfers, golf courses, tournaments and golfing occasions. You can also have lots of photos of the graduate playing golf, for example, and perhaps their golfing videos. Hopefully there are photos of them playing golf with many of the guests which everyone will love. The placemats, place cards and table centrepiece will be golf themed and may even relate to the graduate’s favourite golf courses and golfers. To decorate the home you can have lots of fold clubs, gold bags, sales posters for golf equipment, a golf buggy and of course any medals and trophies the graduate has won. You also need to have golf games which can be putting games, Wii and golf trivia for example. If you can ask a guest with a great voice to commentate on the games perhaps though a Karaoke machine that would add to the tension.
You can of course go a lot further and decorate with antique golf equipment or even have a local professional help with lessons and advice on clubs. A Golf Theme Party is a great one to do for golf fans.
