It is common knowledge that Google indexes web-pages depending on the updates at those pages. For news site, Google checks updates and stores them in its cache daily. But what about the other sites that don't update content daily or even weekly? For these pages, Google checks if they have changed about once a fortnight. If they haven't changed, Googlebot comes in rarer and rarer. If they change, it comes in and saves the version more often every time it catches an update. But the question comes: what do I do to get a new pages indexed immediately, if the site is not frequently updated? Fortunately, I have got the answer!

Many SEO's think that revisit-after meta tag is useful for a regular update. However, Google itself calls this meta-tag completely worthless!

Another meta-tag widely used is robots, but its purpose is to prevent pages from being indexed, rather than to promote the index. As Google says, by default, Googlebot will index a page and follow links to it. So there's no need to tag pages with content values of INDEX or FOLLOW. Thus, it does not help either.

So, what is the way to get indexed within days, for a rarely updated site? Here it is: by using Google AdSense code. By posting some AdSense code to the page you want indexed, you make Google come to your site, analyze the contents, and generate ads. You will have to wait about 50 page hits for social ads to dissapear (i.e. appeal to help Katrina victims). So, once real paid ads show up, Google has no choice but to index the page and fetch the content to its cache. As the Blue Hat SEO blog writes, when Google sees people hitting this page with Adsense that isnt in their index it rushes its little spiders over there to find out what the page is about and spider its content quickly before Google loses more money.

Thus, post some AdSense code to your page, and wait for results in Google cache within days.
